This ResApp implements two techniques for shale-well interference test interpretation – the CPG method and the Devon Quantification of Interference (DQI) method. The tool makes key diagnostic plots and then performs analyses to estimate CPG and the fracture conductivity. Then, using the DQI method, it estimates the ‘degree of production interference’ (DPI) between the wells. The DPI calculation accounts for formation properties and the wellbore geometries. The workflow provides a fast, but effective, procedure for optimizing well spacing and gun-barrel configuration.
